Description

Super Weapon: Assault Block
When tasked with creating a space based artillery the companies Kabur and the Happy Slappy Wrappy Co. both entered their ideas. While Kabur’s creation, the I.R.K. cannon, won the contract, the Happy Slappy Wrappy Co.’s creation was by far the most interesting. Because of the power that their creation could unleash the oddly named company was awarded a separate contract to create these pseudo-super weapons.
The Assault Block is a two part super weapon inspired by void gateway technology, and designed to destroy large, well defended targets. The primary section is little more than two large magna-disruptors pointed toward a set of void portals. The other half of the portals are housed inside a large space craft. The cannons themselves are kept deep inside Immortal Empire territory to keep the delicate and expensive machinery away from immediate danger. While the cannons are kept safe the vessel is sent out to unleash destruction on the Immortal Empire’s foes. The vessel is very heavily shielded and armored, but possesses only light armament. If the vessel is destroyed the cannon is still intact and a replacement vessel can be easily and cheaply created.

While this is noteworthly different on account of scale and arrangement, there are unusual similarities in concept to the wormhole artillery systems the Flux fields. I wonder if there was any connection...
